Presentation by Jenna Lucente
Jenna Lucente was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Staten Island. An avid interest in art during high school let her to Syracuse University for her BFA and CUNY Queens college for her MFA. Her artwork, mostly paintings, have been exhibited widely on the east coast. In recent years, interest and opportunity in the public art realm has guided the way, with commissions from MTA Arts and Design (Arthur Kill Station) and NJTransit (Elizabeth Station, Perth Amboy). Jenna was also recently commissioned for the newly build North Wilmington Library in Wilmington DE. Jenna is currently a professor at Salem Community College in Carney's Point NJ, and lives in Wilmington Delaware with her greyhound Elodie.
From the Artist
I will be utilizing powerpoint to talk about my permanent public artworks, created in glass. This includes the selection process, the development of ideas, and execution of the work, and what it means to have work in the public realm. (Arthur Kill Station, Elizabeth Station, Perth Amboy Station).
